Now showing - Home is where the art is

Currently on show is a collaborative exhibition between local artists and furniture shop BoConcept,
showcasing both original artworks and giclee prints.

BoConcept and contributing artists have been working together to raise awareness and funds for Barnardo's.  A charity raffle has been organized which is running until the end of the exhibition, giving you the chance to win a BoConcept tealight holder which each of the exhibiting artists have hand-decorated.  A percentage of the sales generated from the artwork will also be donated to the charity.

On show you can see new work from Drawn in Bristol illustratorsGeorge Chislett,Sophie Rae, Katharina Nyilas and Paul Roberts alongside Bristol artists Dominic Williams, Yasmin Mozafari and Kate Mayfield.

The work will be on display inside the contemporary interior design shop on 23-25 Merchant Street, Bristol until 25th August 2014.

As well as having the opportunity to purchase a print of my forest alphabet and initials on greetings cards I am now selling individual letters in a square frame on a commission basis and names based on commission. The letters and names are available to order both through the exhibition where you can see an example and also through the shuffle showroom on Stokes Croft.

Call of the Brave - T-shirt design

Drawn in Bristol members (the illustration collective I am a member of) are collaborating with brand new Call of the Bravea t-shirt company with a difference. The company was set up by Dave M in the aim to highlight the importance of ethical clothing and to raise money for the Rana Plaza Donors Trust Fund. The fund raises money for the victims and families that are affected by the collapse of the Rana Plaza factory in Bangladesh, which Killed over 1,130 people as they worked in appalling conditions to produce garments for high street labels such as Primark, Matalan and Mango. Read more about Dave's story on the website.

"Until recently I was just another tee shirt wearing web designer with general feeling that we should think more about what we consume and how it's made".

How it works:

The shirts are all Fairwear Foundation Certified. The Fair Wear Foundation is an independent, non-profit organisation that works with companies and factories to improve labour conditions for garment workers.

We use experienced local screen printers right here in Bristol who print onto Fairwear Foundation Certified White Organic Cotton Jersey with 90% Reduced Carbon Footprint.

Katharina Nyilas - By-Catch (3 days left to order!)

"This design is inspired by unsustainable fishing practices which creates by-catch, sea creatures which get caught up in the fishing nets of deep sea trawlers which get thrown back into the sea dead".

Please visit Call of the Brave's website to order and sign up for their newsletter to be kept in the loop.
